One look at the final standings and it is clear that we came in second place HOWEVER it is also clear that we scored MORE runs than any team and allowed LESS runs than any team.

For a long shot, a small wager on Stuck on 3rd will net a good pay back.
As long as the Elkhorns stay moderately primed from the beer gardens they should be OK.
If they do what they like to do and hit it hard, look for the long shot!
Jimmy, we are there to win, no exceptions. Mind you, I also don't believe in staying in De-Tox all weekend anyway. That will NEVER happen with an Elmwood club.
I can only ask for minor moderation, meaning, just don't get Blottowed before the final game...snapped up is OK, save the blottowed for the victory!

Being 1/2 size does not mean 1/2 price!
Even if we did think we needed a player, we probably would not ask players that have been previously CUT.
Mind you, we do need someone to set up the diamond and get the bats for us,,,,hmm..I'll get back to you on that one.
There are also the Tuesday/Thursday teams as well. Look for PR Sluggers to come in at 3/2 as well. They pounded the bats with 305 runs!
The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won't be worth a dime.

For those of you that just check the Blog for updates, we play at Terry Sawchuck arena on Friday night. 7:20 pm. Try to get there by 7 (ish). Then back to Valley Gardens for a few wobbly pops. I am OK if some of you have a hit or two before the game, we are Elmwood after all.
On the weekend, I see us playing late on Sat morning, and late afternoon.
Sunday will be as required right up to the podium.
Get lots of sleep, sluff a little at work, and get ready for the playoff run.
Well fans, I've takent he Summer GM's playoff weekend preparation's to heart. I have just wakened from a 1 hour nap in my office (yes I only get in about 9am) and I'm ready to go loosen up outside before the rain starts. I brought a bottle of Crown to work with me and prior to the end of the day, I'm sure to have a few "belts" of medicine so that I "ELMWOOD" ready for the game. "RESULTS NOT EXCUSES"!
