The Elkhorns season was going along just "ducky" until the rains hit. Yes, good for a duck, however the Elk's need to ensure the long layoff does not affect the momentum they have gained.One thing the Elks have going for them is that they have drive. A drive and desire to be the best. Be real, if your from "the hood", you really have an issue with second best....no one remembers second place.
Bridesmaids are only something the men from Elmwood adore, they just refuse to be one.
Rain rain go away, come back some other day.
The Elks will buck it up on Sunday (weather and players permitting) at Little mountain sportsplex.
Remember, your either playing for the Elkhorns or watching them!

I am hoping for the good year of beer sales at the beer gardens so I can build a domed stadium. With the Elkhorns now in the League, I think I have a shot!
I think the Commish is banking on the Elkhorns to come through like they did in Spongee, you know the 3 week holiday he had in Florida after the season finished. But he must remember there are only 8 true Elmwoodians on the Baseball squad consisting of 5 men, 2 women & Ron if he is serving coolers.
I must say that I'm Glad that Pete finally said he'd be there Sunday for the game...I couldn't understand how he was going to miss a Sunday afternoon game when there is a BEER garden within walking distance from the "on deck" circle. Pete, we use hollow aluminum bats...what the hell do you think the cork in the bat is for anyway?

3-1 record even with Rick playing we still won. The Elks walked away with another victory after Rob smacked one out of the park with the bases loaded. 19 -11? Craig was the starter but Dan had to come in to pull it out. Who Knows what the score really was, the summer GM not only can't hit, he was 0 for 3, then somehow gets on base & is called OUT at home (o- for four) but more importantly forgot that he had the scoresheet in his trunk! Elks still win!!!
